It has gained a reputation as a creative production house producing quality artistic documentary and fiction films that focus on cutting-edge social issues which evoke both strong feelings and deep thoughts.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Oktober has produced films such as <em>Steam of Life<\/em> (2010), which was selected as the Finnish entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 83rd Academy Awards, <em>Canned Dreams<\/em> (2012) by Katja Gauriloff, <em>Mother\u2019s Wish<\/em> (2015) by Joonas Bergh\u00e4ll, <em>Kaisa\u2019s Enchanted Forest<\/em> (2016) by Katja Gauriloff, <em>Entrepreneur<\/em> (2018) by Virpi Suutari, <em>Baby Jane<\/em> (2019) by Katja Gauriloff and <em>The Happiest Man on Earth<\/em> (2019) by Joonas Bergh\u00e4ll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oktober has also co-produced numerous international films, such as <em>The War Show<\/em> (2016), which was awarded best film at the Venice Days section for the 73rd edition of the Venice Film Festival. Oktober has developed a wide network with both national and international connections through the co-production and distribution of its films. Oktober\u2019s films have been contracted to foreign TV-channels worldwide, including Al Jazeera English, and other channels in France, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, Ireland, Israel, USA, Australia and Nordic countries.
